Winter Animal Hike
Not all Michigan animals are sleeping away the winter! Join us as we head out into the winter wonderland to discover the animals that are active at this time of year. You will also get a close-up look at Blandford’s resident wildlife.

This program is recommended for ages 6 and up.
Please Note: This program will have an indoor portion for the safety and comfort of our animals, as well as a hike on our trails. Please dress appropriately for the weather. If there is enough snow, the fee for this program includes snowshoe rental. Our smallest snowshoes are for children ages 6 and older of 40 pounds. Smaller children are welcome to attend in sled or baby carriers, if desired, and must be registered. Without enough snow, we we take a hike! All participants will be required to wear masks and groups will be socially distanced by family units.
COVID-19 Information: As of August 23, 2021, in accordance with guidance from the CDC and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Blandford Nature Center requires all staff, visitors, and program participants ages 2 and up to wear masks while inside all buildings, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are also required indoors and outdoors for all guests participating in a mixed-age community program where attendees are from multiple households and social distancing cannot be maintained. If you or someone you are registering for a program cannot medically tolerate a mask, you must contact our Program Manager prior to booking a program to discuss your options.
