Garden-side Distillation with Gathered Botanicals
Join Aubrey Winfield from Gathered Botanicals for an evening of botanical distillation using an aromatic herb from the Blandford farm. In this program you will participate in preparing the herbs, learn about the basic principles of distilling in a copper alembic still, make a traditional rye four paste to seal the still, and discuss what hydrosols are and how to use them. While the herbs are distilling you will take an herb walk with herbalist Camilla Voelker and end with bottling the hydrosol you’ve participated in preparing. You will take a mini 1oz bottle home!
