Intro to Forest Bathing

Join our friend and certified Forest Bathing instructor, Amber Kilpatrick, for this introductory workshop. Forest Bathing is an immersion for your senses within the characteristics of the forest. You move slowly and focus your senses on the multitude of ways the forest surrounds and nourishes you. Forest Bathing is not hiking, nor is it destination driven. Instead, the focus is on connections and relationships with the forest.

In this workshop, we will begin indoors for a brief lesson on Forest Bathing, its benefits, and how to practice. Then, we enter the woods for personal experience and relationship building. Participants will be largely self-guided once we enter the forest, in order to find their sit spot and begin their bathing experience. Amber will be available for any needed guidance or additional instruction.

You may want to bring a light blanket or cushion to sit upon. Then again, resting on the dirt and humus of the forest floor may provide you with a more meaningful and co-creative experience.

This program is recommended for ages 18+.

Please Note: This program will take place outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled, and participants will be notified of their refund options. All participants are required to wear masks for the duration of the program and will be expected to stay socially distanced as much as possible.
