Howdy! In 2007, after 18 years of living in the foothills of Kentucky, I moved to Grand Rapids to attend Calvin College. After graduating with a degree in History, I decided that Grand Rapids was the place to be. With the unique Greening of Grand Rapids Master Plan and a marvelous urban revitalization program, Grand Rapids was truly taking environmental care to heart. I started at Blandford Nature Center in autumn of 2007 and have loved every minute since. As an Outdoor Education Instructor, it doesn’t get better than spending your days out on the trails and getting paid for it! When I’m not hiking the trails, I’m reading, biking, or camping in the beautiful state of Michigan. I’m ecstatic about the future of Blandford as it grows into its place as an independent non-profit. With 143 acres of wetlands, forests, meadows, and farm nestled on the edge of GR, Blandford can be everything the community needs it to be.
