Internships

Education Program Intern
Intern will work with our Ecology Education Coordinator to assist in creation, facilitation, and implementation of curriculum for community and school-based programs on ecology, history and food systems in order to create a more successful and sustainable program structure.  For the full internship description, please download 2010 Education Programs Intern.pdf.  You can email Kristin Tindall with any questions.

Grounds and Facilities Intern

Intern will perform daily duties to maintain the grounds, trails, and buildings,
field questions from the public, and complete a project to benefit Blandford Nature Center.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Daily seasonal cleanup of grounds, buildings, and walkway including snow removal, leaf removal, and various other tasks
  • Trail maintenance including trimming, spreading wood chips, mowing, removal of dead and hazardous limbs and trees
  • Lawn care including mowing, watering, and improving all lawns
  • Completion of an approved project related to land, wildlife, and/or forestry management
